Part-Time District Clerk – Richfield Highway District

 Position Overview

The Richfield Highway District is seeking a part-time District Clerk to support administrative, financial, and records management functions under the direction of the Board of Commissioners.


Essential Duties

● Prepare Board agendas, meeting packets, minutes, resolutions, contracts, and legal notices.

● Maintain official records and ensure compliance with Idaho Open Meeting and Public Records laws.

● Maintain QuickBooks, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, monthly financial reports, checks, cash flow, and reserves.

● Prepare annual budget, L-2 levy, Truth in Taxation documents, and required financial reports.

● Collect, verify, and submit payroll information; maintain personnel, leave, benefits, workers’ compensation, and unemployment records.

● Coordinate audits, insurance, State Controller reporting, and records retention.

● Serve as the primary office contact; maintain filing systems, correspondence, office supplies, and technology.


Minimum Qualifications

● High school diploma or GED.

● Valid Idaho driver’s license.

● Minimum three (3) years of bookkeeping, accounting, governmental administration, or office management experience.

● Preferred: QuickBooks experience and governmental accounting background.

● Strong organizational, communication, confidentiality, and customer service skills.

● Ability to interpret and apply Idaho laws, regulations, and Board policies.


Schedule & Compensation

Part-time position; schedule determined by the Board of Commissioners. Compensation based on experience and qualifications, determined by the Board of Commissioners.
